Microsoft Unveils Internet Explorer 9 Release Candidate

Before the much-anticipated final release of Internet Explorer 9 (IE9), Microsoft released a release candidate (RC) on February 10, 2011. The IE9 RC is available for download from Beauty of the Web, and it expands on the company’s objective of providing a unique and beautiful next-generation web experience for its consumers. The IE9 RC has a number of new capabilities, including the ability to close a tab without making it active, Tracking Protection Lists, hi5, and support for HTML5 features and Web standards, among others. It was released after months of intensive testing and user feedback. Microsoft is likely to compete more closely with Firefox, Google Chrome, and Opera as a result of the introduction. Surprisingly, the browser has improved, and some of its features are mentioned below

Tracking Protection Lists

Customers can control how their information is shared on the internet with this option, which is comparable to the ‘Do Not Disturb’ service. As a result, you may detect and create a list of websites that, among other things, contain advertisements, cookies, trackers, and web beacons, and prevent them from reading your data. As a result, there will be no more spying, headaches, or anxiety for you.

Hardware Acceleration

Its purpose is to improve browser graphics and, as a result, the users’ graphics-viewing experience. The IE9 RC includes the ability to use several CPUs and optimize the GPU of the computer (graphics processing unit). For better speed and performance, the IE9 RC also includes unique Windows APIs and an upgraded JavaScript engine.

User-friendly Interface

With reduced borders, conciliated tab edges, and integrated search and address boxes that enable easy and refined search choices as well as more space for arranging two things side by side, it is noticeably different and appealing. The browser displays a few low-priority messages that vanish after a short time. Among other unique features, the browser includes an enhanced Download Manager and Pinned Site. The Pinned Site feature is intended to provide users with quick access to reviews, news, the App Guide, the Business Center, and the How To sections. Download Manager has a pause and resume feature as well as the ability to see and track download speeds.

Interoperability

It was made possible by including better support for HTML5 capabilities and Web standards. Web developers can leverage this functionality to find a user’s geo-location and deliver a better service experience. It’s a superb option for web developers and others because it includes more rounded-corner CSS3 standards, DOM level-3 core, DOM level-3 events, SVG 1.1 2nd version, and DOM level-2 style, among other things.

Security & Privacy

The ActiveX Filter in IE9 RC blocks all ActiveX controls, ensuring increased web security for users. ActiveX Filter can be turned on and off as needed by users. SmartScreen Filter, which integrates with Download Manager and displays highly serious messages to users while downloading malicious files or attachments, is also included in the IE9 RC.
